March 22nd, 2008 Posted in prostate cancer risksA study presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology - 2008 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium - A Multidisciplinary Approach revealed that dietary risk factors are closely linked with incidence of prostate cancer (CaP).
According to study author, an expert oncologist at the University of California San Francisco, dietary risk factors that increase risk of CaP include foods high in calcium (and possibly processed foods and red meats) and foods that decrease risk include foods rich in lycopene and selenium (and possibly legumes, vegetables, Vit E, antioxidants, fish and marine n-3 fatty acids).
