Diagnostic X-ray Raises Prostate Cancer Risk

Ionizing radiation, commonly used in diagnostic tools and radiotherapy, is a human carcinogen recognized by the U.S. government. There is no safety threshold and exposure to any dose results in a cumulative cancer-causing effect.
